New "must have" book for homeschoolers

I came across Sherry Haye's new book "Homeschool Sanity" and purchased it right away.  I've been wanting to ask her so many questions about how she has incorporated 19th century school books into her homeschool.  I was so excited to see this book, it's printing right now, and I will comb-bind it first thing in the morning.  Just click here to read her article and purchase your copy: Homeschool Sanity .
Her other main blog is found here: http://ladyofvirtue.blogspot.com/, you can look under her 19th century labels to find related topics.

When I started getting interested in 19th century books, I stumbled upon Sherry's blog again, which I had read for a while but had not looked at for probably 8 months or more.  She started blogging about her interest and experience in these school books and I've been hooked since.  Mostly because I was drawn to these books ahead of time while seeking the Lord's will about our homeschool.  She blogged about so many things I had been thinking about.  In Philippians we are encouraged to think on things that are lovely, pure, of good report, praiseworthy things...this is so important to me as a homeschooler.

These books fit right in since they combine godliness and subject matter all into one.  So much more than a verse added at the top of a workpage.  Plus, homeschooling with these takes less time, the children love it, there is no busy work, mindless workpages, or fluff.  It leaves our day with more time to pursue other interests, work on chores, and play.

I think anyone would benefit from reading Sherry's book no matter what curriculum they use.  After all, gleaning from a woman who has 15 children, all homeschooled, is likely to encourage any homeschool mom.  It just makes sense :)
